Welcome
to the corner of the web where I keep you updated about my various musical
projects - namely Jeremiah with
whom I play bass guitar, The
Full Quid, the covers band I play in - and not least of all, my singer/songwriter activities.
Come in, have a look around and if you want to get in touch check out
the contacts - MHC

I've got some shows coming up in the near future with the
fabulous Redeemers. For details see the Gig Guide. We did a warm up show at
the Mad Ass Folk Club here in Brisbane
on Thursday 19 October before we engage on a Victorian jaunt in November. The
trip should be heaps of fun. As well as playing songs from Notches on the
Wall and some reworked Spot the Dog songs we will also be branching out and
playing some new material which we've been working on. Hopefully some of
these songs will make it on to a full length recording in 2007. Currently the
financial planning for that recording project consists of me going to the
newsagent on a weekly basis and buying a "Scratch-it" - no major
windfalls yet but I'm quietly optimistic.
Notches
on the Wall has got a couple of nice reviews that you can read at the Folk
Australia site:
http://folkaustralia.com/?cat=10&paged=2
And
also in The Folk Rag from here in Brisbane:
http://www.folkrag.org/
Click
on the reviews section on the left hand side and you'll get to me.
I
won't tell you where the lousy reviews are!!
The
Simply Australia site have done great job of loading my song about Ronald
Ryan (the last man legally hanged in Australia) with accompanying text by
Mike Richards who wrote the award winning book which inspired the song - The
Hanged Man (2002)

Copies
of Notches which includes the Ryan song on it are available from the Folktrax site:

And
also from Trad and Now's site:
